As readers of my blogs know, a bunch of law enforcement agencies found their employees’ personal information dumped on the web by anonymous hackers who are unhappy with law enforcement for political reasons such as the Occupy demonstrations or immigration laws. Now an Alabama sheriff is seeking a court order that would block GoDaddy from publishing any such data dumps.
Courthouse News reports:
The sheriff of Jefferson County demands that GoDaddy disable the websites of hackers known as AntiSec, which may be affiliated with Anonymous, and which stole, and posted, personal information about every employee of the sheriff’s office on Oct. 21.
