The Associated Press reports that the Swiss Federal Tribunal has ordered Logistep AG to stop snooping on individuals its clients believe are engaged in illegal file-sharing. The court reportedly held that such snooping violated the individuals’ right to privacy. Swiss data protection laws also cover IP addresses.
