The Washington area man at the center of a national dispute over warrantless GPS surveillance is demanding his release from custody since a federal appeals court voided his life sentence stemming from his alleged role in a cocaine trafficking conspiracy.
Lawyers for the man, Antoine Jones, the former co-owner of a nightclub in Washington, argued in appellate court papers filed yesterday that Jones meets the conditions for release pending a new trial.
