House passes Senate 3-month extension of Patriot Act provisions

Posted on February 17, 2011 by pogowasright.org

In addition to the House passing a 3-month extension of expiring Patriot Act provisions:

A Senate hearing is taking up Senator Leahy’s bill, S. 193. You can watch it now at http://judiciary.senate.gov/resources/webcasts/livewebcast.cfm

The House is taking up surveillance issues and whether govt needs other tools to keep up with technological advances. It should have started at 10 am, but I don’t see it webcast yet at  http://judiciary.edgeboss.net/real-live/judiciary/17223/256_judiciary-coj_2141_070212.smi
