Wow… two in two days. What’s going on? Have the police suddenly decided that taking offenses more seriously and letting the public know they’re doing so is the way to go?
Adam Binnie reports:
A detective based in Watford has been charged with a series of data protection offences.
Adrian Moir, 45, from Croxley Green, appeared in court on Thursday December 22.
Nicola Lawrence, police representative, said: “A serving officer from Hertfordshire Constabulary has been charged with a series of data protection offences and is due to appear before magistrates in Basildon on February 8, 2012.
“Matters of this nature are taken very seriously and the charges follow an internal investigation by staff from the force’s Professional Standards Unit.
“The officer, who is based at Watford is currently suspended while the matter is progressed through the courts.”
