Singer Van Morrison has launched a fresh legal bid to prevent newspaper publication of information allegedly linked to his private life.
The Belfast-born star is seeking to ban the disclosure of details contained in journals kept by American businesswoman Gigi Lee.
Lawyers representing Mr Morrison and the defendant, Associated Newspapers, told the High Court in Belfast yesterday they have agreed to an adjournment in the case.
A further hearing was fixed for next month.
Ms Lee reportedly died of cancer in a Belfast hospice last year at the age of 44.
She had previously joined Mr Morrison in seeking court protection from media intrusion into their lives. But in April last year an injunction against the now-defunct News of the World was lifted.

This is one of those cases where public curiosity should not, in my opinion, trump an individual’s right to privacy. While Van Morrison might have the resources to fight these attempted intrusions, he shouldn’t have to.
