Haringey housing association accused of data breach bungle

Remember when a council turned over unredacted neighbor complaints to the very people being complained about? It’s happened again, although this time on a smaller scale. Flora Drury reports:

A Haringey housing association made a neighbours’ dispute worse after handing a bundle of confidential complaints to the very neighbour they were related to, it is claimed.

James Walsh was horrified when excerpts from an anti-social behaviour diary he had been keeping for more than a year were posted through his letterbox by the neighbour he was complaining about.

It turned out Hornsey Housing Trust, who had asked him to keep details of all complaints, had released the emails following a Freedom of Information (FoI) request by his neighbour .
