Last week, Edward Snowden gave an interview to German TV investigative journalist Hubert Seipel in Moscow. It was big news everywhere – but here in the U.S., it seems. Why hasn’t U.S. mainstream media given this more coverage? Reuters covered it, but why didn’t I see this interview being aired in parts or being reported more by other outlets? Having listened to the interview, it has some of the most powerful – and troubling – statements I’ve heard in a long time.
In any event, because copies of the interview reportedly keep disappearing from YouTube, I am embedding it here from VIMEO’s copy so that blog readers have a chance to view the segment in its entirety before it may disappear from this blog or the Internet entirely:
Edward Snowden Exclusive Interview for German TV (NDR) from Edward Snowden on Vimeo.

Gee, I wonder why that could be, if Google were really pissed at the NSA for tapping their cables, they would leave this video up on principle.
They may be getting DMCA notices from ARD, although I haven’t checked ChillingEffects.org recently.
