Report: Red Lobster sued over customer’s posted receipt

Several months after a Red Lobster waitress’ Internet post of a diner’s receipt with a racial slur on it went viral, the customer has sued the waitress and the seafood chain, according to a news report.

Devin Barnes of Franklin, Tenn., cited a willful and malicious act, slander and unlawful release of Barnes’ personal information on the Internet, according to a Tennessee station’s news report. Barnes, who denies writing the n-word on the receipt, filed a lawsuit this week. He is seeking $1 million.
