Recent revelations about data privacy violations in Topeka Unified School District 501 have prompted administrators in other school districts to review their compliance with federal law.
In an Aug. 22 email, the Kansas State Department of Education reminded administrators of the strict confidentiality requirements that apply to information about which children in their districts come from low-income families.
