Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago has filed a bill that seeks to prevent employers from compelling their employees and applicants to give passwords of their personal social media accounts.

She mentioned that the Article 3, Section 3 of the Constitution stated, “The privacy of communication and correspondence shall be inviolable except upon lawful order of the court, or when public safety or order requires otherwise, as prescribed by law.”
