Deutsche Bank board members cleared in spy case, probe opened

Frankfurt prosecutors found no evidence Deutsche Bank AG board members were involved in criminal acts when the bank hired detectives to spy on a shareholder. The office will probe other “responsible people” in the case.

Prosecutors won’t open a probe of members of Deutsche Bank’s supervisory or management board, Doris Moeller-Scheu, a spokeswoman, said in an e-mailed statement today. The prosecution office will investigate possible data protection violations in the case. She didn’t identify any suspects.
