Ginger Gorman reports:
These days it’s not politically correct to immediately comment on a little girl’s looks. But when Olivia* shows me a photo of her 10-year-old daughter Charlotte*, there’s no other word for it. She’s pretty.
In the photo, Charlotte’s hair is pulled back off her face revealing shining eyes that catch the colour of her strappy summer jumpsuit. She’s holding small, fluffy Pomeranian dog in her arms and smiling in a way that’s nearly a laugh.
Charlotte’s apparent happiness masks what she has been through in the past year at her Christian school.
Read more on news.com.au to learn what this kid endured at the unnamed school. It’s enough to make you want to punch something, or someone, or cry – or all three.
Pogowasright.org has no desire to contribute to any invasion of this child’s privacy, but kudos to the parents for being willing to share their story to increase public awareness of the needs of children who are transitioning. It was gracious of them not to name the Christian school where these events allegedly occurred.
