Rummana Hussain reports that Robert Weiss, described as a prominent eye surgeon in Chicago, has been charged with secretly videotaping female employees in an office bathroom and locker room at his Chicago offices in the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and the Chicago Eye Institute.
The camera was spotted by one of the four victims, who reported it to the police.
One camera was involved, and the device was moved between the two locations, Breen said. The Chicago Eye Institute is terminating Weiss as a partner, he said.
Weiss is no longer providing patient care at Masonic Hospital, spokeswoman Noreen Keeney said Thursday.
On Wednesday, a Cook County judge ordered Weiss, 58, of the 900 block of South Michigan, held in lieu of $75,000 bail on a felony charge of unauthorized videotaping.
