Kyle Midura reports that in order to strengthen hands-free laws for motorists, a bill has been introduced that would give Vermont police the right to search a driver’s electronic devices (presumably for evidence of texting or talking on the phone/distracted driving).
Refusal would result in a conviction.
That’s just so wrong on so many levels. Thankfully, it sounds like legislators realize that this should be a non-starter.
