If you’re in India and using MatchpointGPS, you should probably read this…..

Victor Gevers tweets:

Another great car tracking product with over 100,000 customers is having “technical issues”. If you live in India you might want to switch off the app or physical tracker in your vehicle until they have fixed an issue concerning your privacy. https://t.co/PLpJD9rz2O

From GDI Foundation:

This is a warning for all MatchpointGPS users in India.
Do NOT use this app until further notice. This service is suffering a security issue. More information will follow soon after the issue is fixed.

Update:  On March 6, MatchpointGPS submitted a comment to this post indicating the issue had been resolved, as confirmed by Victor Gevers of GDI Foundation on February 25:

The issue with MatchPointGPS is now fixed and it is safe to use their services again https://t.co/tIvf9pHkpE
