Data Privacy Day Events – Southwest

Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business will host the “Celebrate Data Privacy Day” event on January 28, 2010, from 8 am through 12:30 pm at the University Club, ASU’s Tempe Campus, offering three panel discussions evaluating privacy practices in important, emerging areas:  Privacy Practices in SaaS environments; Mobile Applications: the next was in social media; and Exploring Risk and Compliance Considerations for health information.  The speakers will include representatives from Ernst & Young, HyLo, Right Now Technologies, and the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, in addition to Mary Beth Joublanc, Chief Privacy Officer and HIPAA Coordinator for the State of Arizona, and Professor Marilyn Prosch of the Business School.
