Facebook launched a beta test today that foreshadows new privacy controls coming to “Publisher” – the box at the top of your home and profile pages where you add content. The changes will let you easily specify who among your friends gets to see that specific photo, video or status update you’re sharing.
The change is an effort to address the fact that many of us are friends with large numbers of people on Facebook, including best friends and family members who we let it all hang out with as well as acquaintances and colleagues we’d prefer get a more, um, judicious version of ourselves.
