For others, it’s a gross invasion of privacy that could leave one of the last remaining areas where people have some say over privacy completely laid bare for all to see.
Yesterday, Google unveiled the latest addition to its controversial Street View web service. Google Bedroom View allows anyone in the world to type in a British, Canadian or American address and see a detailed, 360 degree picture of their living areas – including close-ups of their beds, furniture and people.
The images are not ‘live’ but were taken by a fleet of Google robotic-engineered locusts developed in a DARPA laboratory and given to Google as part of their recent joint partnership.
