Ca: Privacy breaches resulted in job losses

James Wood reports:

The leak of addresses from the SGI database to the Teamsters union was one of four substantiated cases of “inappropriate system access” this year, with another situation still under review, the Crown corporation says.

There were an additional nine cases in 2009.

The cases during the last year and a half have seen four individuals lose their jobs — two employees of third-party organizations, one employee of a licensing office and one Saskatchewan Government Insurance employee.
