Avast has released a new version of CCleaner 5.45 that not only always runs in the background, but also collects information about your system without giving you a way to turn the feature off.
Read more on The Hacker News. CCleaner responded to concerns by stating that no personal information is being collected, but the fact that you can’t disable the function altogether and have it stay disabled is concerning some people.
