Data Privacy Day Events – Northeast

Posted on January 17, 2010July 3, 2025 by Dissent

NuTech Integrated Systems and several of its technology partners are sponsoring a free luncheon discussion on the new Massachusetts Privacy Law on January 28, 2010, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, featuring Diane Lawton, General Counsel, and Gerry Young, CIO Secretariat, from the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation.  Requiring all companies that store Massachusetts tax payers’ Personal Individual Information (PII) to prove they are safeguarded against hackers, unethical employees, and entities that could do harm to their customers, the new law takes effect on March 1, 2010. OCABR offers a compliance checklist and other helpful resources.  The event will be held in The Battle Room at Smith & Wollensky, 101 Arlington Street, Boston, MA.   Register here.
