FL: St. Lucie deputy suspended after accessing information about wife’s boyfriend

A St. Lucie County Sheriff’s deputy received a two-day suspension after allegations he “coerced” another deputy to access personal information on a man his wife was dating, according to a recently released internal affairs investigation.

Corrections Deputy David Maliglowka got the suspension after the internal probe found he improperly got Deputy Peter Rich to access information through driving and vehicle records about a man Maliglowka’s wife was dating. Maliglowka and his wife at the time apparently were in the process of divorcing.
