Google pledges more blurring in Switzerland

In response to Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner Hanspeter Thür’s recent demand that Google “immediately withdraw its online service Google Street View concerning Switzerland,” Google has met with the Commissioner and has been working to blur the images more. It seems that “immediately withdraw” doesn’t necessarily mean “immediately withdraw,” and may have just led to more negotiations and proposals.
