House hearing on ECPA this morning

Posted on September 23, 2010 by pogowasright.org

The House Judiciary Committee Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties is holding a hearing today at 11:00 am in 2141 Rayburn House Office Building: “Hearing on: ECPA Reform and the Revolution in Cloud Computing”

You can watch the webcast here.

Yesterday’s Senate hearing created the impression that ECPA reform is likely to include greater privacy protection for e-mail.  It will be interesting to listen to the House members’ questions to see if their questions also indicate that change and what else they might be thinking.
