A UK Government watchdog this week began an investigation into an alleged breach of the Data Protection Act by North Lanarkshire headteachers who disclosed pupils’ personal details to Shotts MSP Karen Whitefield.
The UK Information Commissioner – the body that deals with all complaints of Data Protection– is investigating the disclosure of personal data from 21 primary schools throughout the Labour politician’s constituency of Airdrie & Shotts.
