Lawsuit Brings Allegations of HIPAA Violation Against Prisma Health

A plaintiff filed suit against defendant Prisma Health and third party defendant RevMD Partners LLC on Monday in the District of South Carolina. The complaint for damages and injunctive relief cites violations of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
