Legal dispute continues between blogger and Freehold software provider

A blogger who was sued for what she wrote about a Freehold-based company in the online pornography industry is taking her case to the Appellate Division after a Superior Court judge in Monmouth County refused to reconsider a decision keeping the lawsuit alive.

Shellee Hale, a mother of five from Washington State, is challenging a June 30 ruling saying she is not covered by the New Jersey shield law protecting news reporters and can be sued for postings she made about Too Much Media LCC, a company that supplies computer software to online adult entertainment sites.
