Washington Mutual fired an employee for stealing money from a customer’s account, but won’t give the customer his $90,000 back, the man claims in Federal Court.
Daniel Knox dba Universal Crown Real Estate ….. claims that the bank employee who opened his account for him, Biron Dotson, also misappropriated his money, and the bank fired him for it. He claims that WaMu ignored his complaints about the missing $90,000, and that “WAMU required Plaintiff to file a written complaint more than one year after its investigation revealed misappropriation by its employee solely so it could reject plaintiff’s claim in writing within the 10 day period required by law.”
Knox wants his $91,650 back, and treble damages.
