I recently posted an item from the New Jersey Law Journal about the New Jersey Attorney General is seeking the help of country prosecutors to overturn New Jersey Supreme Court precedent requiring a warrant to obtain phone calling records.
Tim Cushing of TechDirt wrote about the issue yesterday, here, and we seem to be of one mind on this.
I hope New Jerseyians are paying attention to this issue and pushing back to protect their civil liberties. I don’t see any statement on the NJ ACLU web site in response to the law journal article, but I assume they’re aware of it.
