Palin e-mail hacking case: jury wants to see the law

Posted on April 29, 2010 by pogowasright.org

The jury in the David Kernell hacking case is in their third day of deliberations, and Bill Poovey of the Associated Press is now reporting that the jury

has asked to see part of a law that is part of the identity theft charge.

The judge after a discussion with the chief prosecutor and defense attorney gave a partly redacted copy of the requested section of federal statute to jurors but told them to rely mainly on the instruction he gave them Tuesday.

Yeah, can’t have those jurors thinking for themselves. Identity theft is just one of the charges the jury is deliberating about.
