On March 18, 2006, PogoWasRight.org’s co-founder “Anonadmin” (a/k/a Ziplock) posted our very first news item on PogoWasRight.org. The more than 20,000 posts that were subsequently posted on the original platform are archived offline, as I never figured out how to import them into the WordPress platform I switched to in June, 2009. But since switching to WordPress, there have been over 15,000 posts on this site addressing privacy issues around the world.
Tens of thousands of posts about privacy issues and news, and sadly some of the issues we covered in 2006 remain issues today – like government over-reach on surveillance, and the need to update ECPA and FERPA as just a few examples.
Happy Birthday, my little blog.
Thanks to all those who have submitted links and articles over the past decade, and special thinks to those who check the site and read my commentaries on privacy issues.
Let’s see if we can make this blog totally irrelevant by 2026.
Pogo has been in my first set of opened sites for most of those ten years. Thanks is precious littler to offer but thanks is what I have. Your efforts are appreciated.
Thank You
Thanks!
Happy B-Day!
Wow 10 years… that’s 10 years you have inspired and educated people.
Thanks for all your hard work.
Thank you!
Happy belated birthday. Also where do you research all of this information on privacy news? This is a lot of information and very thorough. Kudos and props to really going through sources with a fine tooth comb.
I don’t think I would have the patience to do all of this.. 🙂
