Rand Paul: I’ll Take Privacy Fight to Supreme Court

Greg Richter reports:

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., says it is time the country re-examines the Constitution’s Fourth Amendment in light of recent revelations that the National Security Agency is mining data from millions of cellphones worldwide.

He said he’s willing to “fight that all the way to the Supreme Court” if necessary.

And exactly what standing would he have to do that?  Besides, why put a possibly adverse ruling in the hands of nine judges instead of having Congress write laws to protect privacy?
