Posted on October 28, 2010July 3, 2025 by Dissent

Kelly Heyboer and Amy Ellis Nutt report:

One of the two students accused of secretly using a webcam to watch Tyler Clementi in an intimate encounter with another man has withdrawn from the university — but she hopes to eventually return to classes, friends said.

“She wants to come back here, but she’s studying for SATs to take them again,” said Yan, 18.

Published reports said Dharun Ravi, the other Rutgers student charged in the case, has also withdrawn from Rutgers.
