Tennessee puts Nashville on notice to provide student data to charter operators

Tennessee put the state’s two largest school districts on notice that they must provide student contact information to the Achievement School District and charter operators — or risk losing state funding.

Tennessee Education Commissioner Candice McQueen warned Shelby County Schools in a letter on Monday that it must give the information to an Achievement School District charter school under a new state law.
