As noted earlier this week, Rep. Bobby Rush introduced H.R.611, a bill he had introduced in the previous Congress: the “Building Effective Strategies to Promote Responsibility Accountability Choice Transparency Innovation Consumer Expectations and Safeguards Act” (also known as “BEST PRACTICES Act“).
Last year, the bill (H.R.5777 in its previous incarnation) had no co-sponsors and never made it out of committee. The IAB issued dire warnings about the bill at the time.
This year’s bill has no co-sponsors (at least not yet) and has been referred to the same committee.
Has anyone checked to determine if the two 55-page bills are totally identical or if any changes have been made since the first time around?
