More revelations from the Snowden files were published over the weekend by Glenn Greenwald and his colleagues. Reporting in El Mundo and L’Espresso, the reports describe NSA spying on Spanish citizens’ phone calls and the Italian government.

Will EU governments be embarrassed enough that they didn’t protect their own citizens from an external Big Brother that they will actually do something? Or will all the predictable hysteria end not with a bang, but a whimper and business as usual?
