Personal details of householders and their voting preferences were left in a pub by Liberal Democrat campaigners.
Simon Webb, 24, found the dossier wedged behind a window seat in the Green Dragon in Chesterton.
It contained the names and addresses of around 60 people from the electoral roll and, marked next to several of the entries, the voting preferences they had disclosed to canvassers.
Candidate Julian Huppert was with canvassers when the records, which could have lain undiscovered for five days, were lost.
