Lynn Barber’s Sunday Times article about taking a refugee into her home breached the man’s privacy after it was published without his consent, the UK’s largest press regulator has ruled.
The first-hand account, which ran across six pages of the newspaper’s magazine on 28 May, 2017, covered the journalist’s own experience of having Sudanese asylum-seeker Mohammed Ahmed stay at her house for six months.
