Van Morrison media ban lifted

A High Court injunction which stopped the News of the World publishing information about Van Morrison has been lifted.

The ban has been set aside on the condition that the paper does not breach any privacy laws.

This includes an undertaking not to publish descriptions or photographs of others linked to the case.

Last October the Belfast-born singer secured a ruling which prevented the News of the World from printing photographs of him, his home and of businesswoman Gigi Lee.
