A man who worked for years as an inspector with the Oregon Liquor Control Commission is facing new charges after being arraigned in U.S. District Court in Portland on Thursday. According to court documents, Doitchin Krasev faces charges of making a false statement on a passport application and aggravated identity theft.
Police said he assumed the identity of Jason Evers, a 3-year-old boy who was murdered in Ohio in 1982, in the mid-90s.

The identity theft of a dead child cannot hurt the child’s credit rating, so what’s the problem, right? The parents facing the painful reminder of their lost child have no cognizable injury, right?
