Now, the Hill reports that Rep. Ed Markey (D-Mass), a co-chairman of the House caucus on privacy, has released a discussion draft (pdf) of the Mobile Device Privacy Act, which would require telecommunications providers such as Verizon, AT&T and Sprint to reveal if they are using data-tracking software such as Carrier IQ on mobile devices:

Sprint is now going with Smith Micro. Trevor Eckhart has a back room affiliation with them. He will be subpenaed to court and dissected, then arrested for corporate espionage!
Verizon and Apple have products that do exactly the same thing. So really nothing has changed, not that I felt Carrier IQ was spyware. It was not implemented properly by HTC.
Trevor’s days are numbered now that they know about the lies. He better find a deep hole ti hide in!
