I was enjoying one of my favorite security podcasts the other day and the topic of the moment was the new Facebook application for Android. Like most mobile apps, a final step in the installation process is the “request for permission” to access various data on the device. Usually, these applications look for phone and contact information under the ostensible purpose of improving the user experience by automating the entry of our friends and family into the application.
