In this case, a judge had to flee his home. Karen Collier reports:
A family law judge was awarded $18,000 compensation after being forced to flee his home in fear because Telstra published his name, address and phone number in the White Pages.
The sensitive details were disclosed when the judge, who receives regular death threats because of his job, requested a phone line be connected solely for the use of an alarm system.
To his horror, his details were then published in the online and print directory, prompting him to apply for an interstate transfer because of safety risks.
