An ugly court fight pitting Lyft Inc. against road rival Uber Technologies Inc. has taken a new turn, with Lyft’s former chief operating officer accusing the company of illegally reading personal emails and text messages that detailed his contacts with Uber.
Travis VanderZanden, now Uber’s vice president of international growth, sued Lyft in San Francisco Superior Court for invasion of privacy last week.
