A surgical assistant at a Brisbane private hospital secretly used his GoPro camera to film inside an operating theatre, as a female patient was about to have bariatric surgery.
The filming at the Wesley Hospital was only discovered as the surgery was about to start and the doctor said he had to go and turn off his camera, which was sitting on top of a cabinet.
When shocked medical staff questioned the surgical assistant about his use of the GoPro early on October 31, he allegedly told them he recorded things “all the time’’.
