Coulson arrested, News of the World to close – double wow!

Posted on July 8, 2011 by pogowasright.org

Andy Coulson, the former editor of  News of the World tabloid and former spokesperson for Prime Minister David Cameron has been arrested this morning over the explosive phone-hacking scandal in the UK.

And in related news, Rupert Murdoch announced that he is shutting down News of the World this week.

Talk about an organization experiencing reputation harm from a privacy breach!

In this case, though, the breach was not accidental but a pattern and practice that violates not only journalistic ethics but a slew of wiretapping laws and the public’s sense of decency.
