Norway: Datatilsynet issues anonymization guide following re-identification concern

Thomas Brookes reports:

The Norwegian data protection authority (Datatilsynet) issued, on 24 August 2015, a guide (‘the Guide’) relating to the anonymisation of personal information. The Guide provides practical guidance for data controllers on the considerations to be made prior to anonymising data and highlights Datatilsynet’s opinion on the effectiveness of different anonymisation methods.
