NV: Student privacy petition needs 55,000 signatures

Fox11 reports:

A group of Nevada state leaders announced new petition today in hopes of protecting you and your child’s personal information from the federal government.

The “Pupil Information Privacy Protection Act Initiative” was filed with the Nevada Secretary of State on September 1st. Today, November 5, 2015 the Nevada Families For Privacy PAC announced the petition in hopes of getting 55,000 signatures by June of next year.

There’s a Facebook page about the petition, but of course, anyone like me who really values privacy doesn’t have a Facebook account and won’t be able to see the page. D’oh…
