Quebec mechanic must pay ex $32,000 for making secret sex tape

Posted on April 13, 2015June 30, 2025 by Dissent

A Canadian reader sends in this item from Canoe:

A judge ordered a Montreal mechanic to pay his ex-girlfriend $32,000 in damages for secretly taping them having sex, Le Soleil reports.

Even though the tape was never posted online, the judge found the recording – which was made after the woman explicitly told her boyfriend he was never to videotape them and he had agreed – was vile and degrading.

The judge ordered the young man to destroy the video, stay away from his ex and never post any images of her online.
